- See a Showbiz movie with your gang.
Showbiz is a Kingwood icon – if you haven’t run into what seems like every single person you know while walking into the theater, you haven’t truly experienced Showbiz Kingwood. So, before the school year starts and everyone gets busy, meet your friends for one of the box-office hits of the summer. Haven’t seen The Incredibles 2 yet? Well, join the rest of America and get on it! Or, wait until closer to the end of summer and celebrate a new school year by seeing the premiere of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!
- Bring your fur baby to East End.
East End – Kingwood’s forested, suburban escape. Take advantage of your last few moments of vacation and spend some time in nature. We recommend going between the hours of 6am and 9am or 6pm and 9pm to have the best chance at taking your walk in below-95-degree weather. You’ll probably see most of your neighbors and their pets out on the green belts, too – that’s life in the Livable Forest!
- Sleep in and have Kolaches.
Ah, Kolaches - a Texas tradition. Snooze that alarm clock and soak in your last few days of summer relaxation. Then, show some Kingwood love to WestCo Donuts, or Citizen Donuts, or the Kolache House, or Shipley’s, or ANY Kolache destination near you. Treat yourself to that extra-large Boudin kolache – you deserve it!
- Get your tan on at the community pool.
Community pools are some of the best amenities that come with living in Kingwood. Some residents forget they exist or misplace the pool card a month after moving in - So track down that pool card and head to your community pool for one last day of tanning, family water games, and neighborly celebrations.
